Match Report
|
| |
Stainborough made a good start scoring 53
runs off the first 10 overs for the loss
of just one wicket. M. Reynolds top scored
with 23 and he was well supported by J.
Rennison (16) and B. Wood (14). However,
a middle order batting collapse saw the
final score reach 96-8 at the end of the
20 overs.
In response, Wath's J. Hayes batted well
for 32 before retiring. Despite Wath having
plenty of wickets in hand, Stainborough
always felt as if they could win the match
with runs being difficult to find. However,
a couple of boundaries in the penultimate
over virtually secured the Wath victory.
The winning run was scored with just four
balls to spare.
