Match Report
|
| |
Woolley were put into bat and J. Morris
hit 18 runs before being superbly run out
by Oliver Warren with a direct hit. Stainborough's
fielding was excellent and were rewarded
with another run out courtesy of Douglas
Riley. Woolley made steady progress against
tight bowling with Connor Lally taking 1-9
from 3 overs. Only a last pairing partnership
of 22 got the target upto a reasonable 253.
In response Stainborough batted sensibly
and ensured that their wickets remained
intact. Everyone made useful contributions
and it was left to Connor Lally to hit the
winning runs in the final over, before batting
out the last few balls to ensure victory.
