Stainborough produced a fine batting performance
against a young Darton team.
Batting first, Stainborough were in inspired
form with excellent knocks from Curtis Parker
(17 n.o.), Elliot Mann (12 n.o.), Matthew
Grimshaw (12 n.o.) and Josh Rennison (9
n.o.). Only a couple of late wickets saw
the total fall below 300.
In reply Darton made steady progress but
inexperience told with a couple of needless
runouts which restricted the score. Alex
Bamford, Josh Rennison and Elliot Mann were
the wicket-takers in the Darton innings
which was restricted to 223.
