Stainborough batted first and although 32
runs were scored by the opening pair, the
loss of 3 wickets reduced the advantage.
Elliott Mann top scored with 26. Jack Lally
(12) and Josh Abson (9) made good runs but
silly running between the wickets were costly.
Josh Rennison added an unbeaten 13 in the
last pairing. An excellent 286 was reduced
to a modest target of 256 due to the loss
of 6 wickets.
Darton got of to an impressive start with
J. Bullock hitting 15 not out. However,
tight bowling by the entire Stainborough
team restricted Darton. Connor Lally took
2 important wickets resulting in the Darton
chase falling 9 runs short of their target.
