Match Report
|
| |
Stainborough dominated the game with
South Kirkby to take maximum points.
Batting first, Stainborough got off to
a positive start with Jonathan Pepper (52)
and Richard Umbers (23) in control. A suicidal
run saw Umbers dismissed, bringing the in-form
Paul Brown to the crease. Brown punished
the short pitched deliveries hitting an
unbeaten 86. Grimshaw (22) and Grange (28)
also made useful contributions to a final
score of 239-6. D. Rollin 2-38 was the pick
of the South Kirkby attack.
In reply South Kirkby were never in the
game, with only J. Scott (27) having any
success. A collapse from 75-3 to 106 all
out gave Stainborough the points. Pepper
completed an excellent all round performance
taking 5-39, with Dave Kershaw 2-16 off
10 overs and Ged McInerny 2-8 also amongst
the wickets.
