Askern elected to
bat and were soon in trouble at 4-3. D.
Exley bowled an excellent spell of 14 overs
and deserved more than 1-23 for his efforts.
K. Grimshaw also kept things tight taking
2-12 from 9 overs. Only G. Williams (51)
made any impact for the hosts, before J.Pepper
(1-28) struck. However, it was left to G.
McInerny (6-13) to dismiss Askern for just
85.
Despite an early scare Stainborough reached
their winning total with 26 overs to spare.
A. Gilfillan was on top form hitting six
boundaries in his unbeaten 44.
