The scheduled Friday 20/20 game against Broughty
Ferry was unfortunately cancelled, which left
an opportunity for all concerned to take part
in the local Karaoke Night. Phil Campbell
and Richard Mills were the first to represent
the club with their rendition of the Tom Jones
hit "You Can Leave Your Hat On". Unfortunately,
Campbell's over enthusiasm with the microphone
curtailed his opportunity as he unplugged
himself from the speaker system, much to the
displeasure of the Karaoke hostess. Needless
to say, thereafter the Stainborough contingent
got fewer chances to impress with the local
professionals taking to the floor.

On return to the hotel, it was brought to
our notice by the Management that one of
our rooms had recently over gone a TV style
make-over from none other than Laurence
Llewelyn Bowen. The pleasure of using this
room, which was of a minimalist style and
had adopted an off the wall colour scheme,
attracted an unusually high room rate. With
the hotel fully booked, there was no alternative
than to employ Alan Crutch as "The Negotiator",
to sort out a price acceptable to all parties.
